Toothpicks makes me happy.

I don't know why is that it takes very little to excite me. I took this picture at work. Its a container full of colorful tooth pcks. Everytime I look at this picture I began to laugh!!! I'm not sure if it's the colors that makes me happy or is it the fact that I was in the break room sneaking a picutre when I was supposed to be working. Like who does that? and to just just randomly choose a jar of toothpicks. How funny!!!!

all things crafty

Yesterday I went to Michael's and bought a few picture frames, letters, ribbons and paint. So today after church I was feeling a little crafty. First I baked a butterfinger cake
then I decided I would make a picture frame for my niece Madison. The frame turned out very cute I'm not done with it yet. It just needs a little bit of glitter and Ta Da! A beautiful frame for a sweet little princess. Last I decided I wanted to learn how to make hairbows for little girls. I bought some ribbon and gave it a shot. So, this is how my first hairbow turned out, I forgot to cut the ends. I made it for...you guessed, my niece Madison!!! I have a son she is the only chance I get to make girly things. So this is what I did to get my creative juices flowing.

Vanishing America

TREMBLING EARTH

To those who see every bit of land as an opportunity to build, America's swamps and wetlands are just a pond to be drained. But these unique landscapes are the home to flora and fauna that can be found nowhere else on earth. And, despite their seeming longevity, they are fragile ecosystems that can be ruined by the slightest impact. Hundreds of wetlands in America have already been lost -- drained for farming and development. It takes thousands (and sometimes millions) of years for a wetland to mature, so we must cherish the few that remain. - Holt Webb

Holt Webb is a wonderful photographer who travels the world in his camper that runs on vegetable oil capturing what is happening to our beautiful earth. He is very passionate about his work. Educating people about how our earth is deteriorating and what we can do to help save it is very important to him. Check out Holt's website www.vanishingamerica.net to find out what you can do to help make our world a better place.

Children at play????

What happened to children playing outside? Today children spend most of their time in the house eating unhealthy and playing video games or watching tv. It's time to get our children off the couch and out the door. Parents should lead by example. Show your children what it means to live a healthy life full of longevity.

Beauty and the Bee

I really love this picture. It reminds me of how beautiful nature is. The colors bring happiness to my heart. We should always be mindful and help take care of OUR creatures on this beautiful earth! When you see beautiful creatures like this how does it make you feel?
